📋 Basics of the Pawn Loan

What is a pawn loan and how does it work?

+

A pawn loan is a loan where you receive cash immediately and deposit a valuable item with us as collateral. We appraise the pawned item in your presence, provide a non-binding offer and pay out the loan in cash upon signing the contract. More information can be found at The Pawn Loan.

What requirements do I need to apply for a pawn loan?

+

You only need a valid official photo ID. There is no review of your financial situation and no credit check with Schufa, since only the pawn serves as collateral.

Which items can I pawn?

+

We specialize in pawning exclusively high-value items. Branded and collector watches as well as gold and diamond jewelry form the traditional focus of our business. We also pawn porcelain (not everyday porcelain, but exclusively high-quality manufactories such as KPM or Meissen), silver, art, antiques, exclusive writing instruments and accessories. Unfortunately, we do not pawn technical devices or instruments, as we, as a pure pawn loan business, focus on high-quality pawn items.

Which items are not accepted as collateral?

+

Due to our focus on exclusively high-quality pawn items, we generally do not accept electronics, tools or everyday items such as daily-use and quartz watches.

How long does it take to receive the pawn loan payout?

+

The entire process is quick and straightforward. After appraisal and contract signing, you receive the loan immediately in cash — without the formalities of a bank loan.

💰 Costs and Terms

What are the interest and fees for a pawn loan?

+

The costs are 1% interest per month plus a legally stipulated fee. For loans up to €300 the fees are tiered (e.g. €5.50 for €250). Detailed information about the costs of the pawn loan can be found on our website.

Can you give an example of the costs?

+

For a loan of €250 you pay €2.50 interest per month plus €5.50 fee, i.e. €8 per month in total. If you redeem the pawn after two months, the redemption amount is €266 (€250 loan + €16 costs).

Is there a minimum loan amount?

+

Yes, unlike some other regional businesses we generally do not enter loan contracts under €100. This allows us to focus on high-quality pawning and provide a professional service.

Is my pawn insured during the term?

+

Yes, your pawn is insured from the moment it is taken in for twice the loan amount against robbery, burglary and fire. This ensures that your valuable item is optimally protected throughout the contract period.

📅 Contract Duration and Redemption

How long does a pawn loan contract last?

+

The term is specified on the pawn ticket and contains all essential details about the loan, interest and fees. You can redeem your pawn at any time during or at the end of the term by paying the redemption amount.

Can I extend the pawn contract?

+

Yes, if you cannot redeem the pawn at the end of the contract term, an extension is possible with our consent. On extension, accrued interest and fees are calculated on a daily basis.

Is installment repayment possible?

+

Yes, we are happy to offer our customers the option to repay the loan in installments in connection with a contract extension. This means the loan amount does not have to be repaid all at once and interest and fees can already be significantly reduced during the term.

What happens if I lose the pawn ticket?

+

Please notify us immediately if you lose the pawn ticket. We will set a block note in the system so that no unauthorized person can redeem your pawn, and you can redeem your pawn at the end of the term upon presentation of your ID.

Pawning Brand Watches

Which brand watches can I pawn?

+

We pawn exclusively high-quality brand watches such as Rolex, Omega, Breitling, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and many other premium brands. Quartz watches are generally not eligible for pawning. More information about Pawning Brand Watches can be found on our dedicated page.

What should be considered when pawning branded and collector watches?

+

Please note that we only pawn high-quality watches. Quartz watches are therefore generally not suitable for pawning. For pawning watches we generally require official documents and purchase receipts. We regularly inspect the watches. Be sure to have your watches (also with other companies) opened only by a trained watchmaker and not by amateurs using tools such as watch openers, as otherwise often invisible damage occurs and the manufacturer's warranty may be voided. We guarantee a qualified inspection by a watchmaker.

How is the value of my brand watch determined?

+

We appraise your watch in your presence and evaluate it according to current market prices. Our experts check authenticity, condition, model and the current market situation to make you a fair and transparent offer.

Is the authenticity of my watch verified?

+

Yes, as a specialized pawn loan business we have the necessary expertise for professional authenticity verification of brand watches. We carefully assess the value item and guarantee a fair appraisal.

🔨 Pawn Auctions

What happens if I cannot redeem my pawn?

+

Unlike a bank loan, you are not personally liable for repayment — only the pawn is liable. If the pawn is not redeemed, we are legally obliged to auction it through a publicly appointed and sworn auctioneer. There is no Schufa report.

Am I entitled to any surplus proceeds from the auction?

+

Yes, if the auction proceeds exceed our claims (loan, interest, fees and pro rata auction costs), you are entitled to the surplus. You can collect this within three years after the end of the auction year upon presentation of the original pawn ticket.

When do pawn auctions take place?

+

Information about current auction dates can be found on our page Pawn Auctions. At our auctions, interested parties can often purchase high-quality items at attractive prices.

🔒 Privacy and Discretion

How discreet is my pawn loan handled?

+

Discretion is our top priority. We never provide information to Schufa or banks, and we treat your data strictly confidentially in accordance with our privacy policy. Your data is also not shared with other branches.

Who will know about my pawn loan?

+

No one except us. The pawn loan allows you to bridge a financial bottleneck quickly and discreetly without disclosing your private or business circumstances — entirely without the formalities of a bank loan.

✳️ Miscellaneous

Should I sell my gold or pawn it for a loan?

+

Those who sold their gold missed a price increase of over 50% up to October 2025 alone. In previous years the gold price has also regularly risen. Benefit from the price increase and pawn your gold. The pawn value is usually only slightly below the purchase value.
